Welcome to the Paper WALL E

Cute little WALL-E Robot in my hand

Wouldn't you like to have one of these to go around taking care of all the house work? Cooking, cleaning, washing the car, compacting your trash, maybe give you a nice foot massage? Well now you can!

Well, not really, but you can sit back in your computer chair, close your eyes and pretend that you can.

Look at this cute little Paper WALL E

I created this cute little WALL E from paper. My daughters love it. I thought maybe I could share it with the world. So here it is.

Cute little WALL-E Robot

It took me about 4 hours to create this, I collected the pictures that have the correct angles and on some I had to improvise and create shapes by using the textures from other panels.

I think it turned out pretty nice.

Want to make your own? It's fun and easy!

This is a fun project you can do with your kids. All it requires is scissors and glue. Just print out the shapes, cut them out, fold the tabs and panels and glue them together.

This is a PDF document so you need to have the Adobe Reader installed. If you do not have it you can download it by clicking the icon below.

If you can't use the PDF you can just print out the images.

WALL E Robot Assembly Instructions

  1. Print out the parts.
  2. Cut out the parts following the edge of the image unless there are gray tab lines, you will need to cut around those.
  3. Fold over all the tabs and all the panel corners. Look at the images here to see what needs to be bent where. It should be pretty self explanatory and obvious.
  4. Use Elmers glue and just dot the glue on the tabs. Do one to two tabs at a time. If you press the glued area together with your fingers it should stay together within a few seconds so you can move on to the next tab.
  5. First glue the body.
  6. Then glue the head.
  7. Then the tracks.
  8. Now roll the neck square into a flat plank anf glue it so it stays.
  9. Once you have all the parts glued and ready for the last assembly, refer to the images on this site to see how all the parts go together.
  10. You should adjust the neck so it holds the head in the position you like and only then glue it to the body first, let it set, then glue the head to it.
  11. Now show it to your friends and tell them that you made it all by your self!

Who Is WALL E?

Just in case you've been living under a rock or on Mars, here is who, or what, WALL-E is. This is a few paragraphs from Wikipedia:

"WALL-E (promoted with an interpunct as WALL·E) is a 2008 computer-animated science fiction film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The film was directed by Andrew Stanton. It follows the story of a robot named WALL-E who is designed to clean up a polluted Earth. He eventually falls in love with another robot named EVE, and follows her into outer space on an adventure.

After directing Finding Nemo, Stanton felt that Pixar achieved believable water physics and was willing to direct a film set in space. Most of the characters do not have actual human voices, but instead communicate with body language and robotic sounds, designed by Ben Burtt, that resemble voices. In addition, it is the first animated feature by Pixar to have segments featuring live action characters.

Walt Disney Pictures released it in the United States and Canada on June 27, 2008. The film grossed $23.1 million on its opening day, and $63 million during its opening weekend in 3,992 theaters, ranking #1 at the box office. This ranks the third highest-grossing opening weekend for a Pixar film as of July 2008. Following Pixar tradition, WALL-E was paired with a short film titled Presto for its theatrical release. It has achieved highly positive reviews with an approval rating of 97% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomates."
